IPL Individual Consultants Recruitment 2026 Notification

Applications are received throughout the year, including from candidates staying abroad and those posting applications from Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, and Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh.

Applicants must apply against a specific IC Code and Grade Code, as per the eligibility criteria mentioned for each. Candidates are required to explicitly state the IC Code and Grade Code they are applying against, as asked for on page 1 of the detailed application format.

Applicants must be a Citizen of India. All qualifications should be recognized by UGC/AICTE/AIU (Government of India). For qualifications acquired from a foreign (international) institute or university, the same may be treated at par with qualifications from Indian institutes/universities, provided the candidate produces an equivalency certificate from the Competent Authority.

Essential qualification and minimum post-qualification experience differ for each IC Code. Remuneration for Individual Consultants is decided within the corresponding band, based on years of post-qualification relevant experience. Final remuneration for a selected candidate depends on expectations, experience, and expertise, and the decision of IPL is final and binding. Consultants will also be allowed to undertake tours as required by their duties, for which TA/DA and Hotel Accommodation shall be paid or reimbursed as per Company policy.

Selection is done by way of Interview. Merely satisfying the eligibility norms does not entitle an applicant to be called for interview. IPL reserves the right to call only the requisite number of candidates for interview after preliminary screening/shortlisting, with reference to qualifications, experience, suitability, city preference, and business requirement. IPL will call only those candidates who match the requirements for the specific grade, position, and IC Code indicated in the application form. Applying for a higher grade does not automatically make the applicant eligible for a lower grade. Applicants must apply separately for each IC Code and Grade Code. Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview in Delhi or in online mode, as decided by IPL in its absolute discretion. Individual Consultants will be engaged for a fixed period of two years, which may be extended by one year at a time, up to a maximum tenure of five years (2+1+1+1 years), for providing services on specific projects as per requirement. Continuation beyond the first and subsequent years is contingent on a satisfactory Annual Performance Review based on defined Key Performance Indicators. Engagement is on a Contractual and Full-Time basis, during which the selected candidate is not allowed to take up appointment/engagement/assignment anywhere else.
