IIIT Kalyani Post Doctoral Fellow Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline

The institute has announced a total of 1 vacancy for the Post Doctoral Fellow position under the Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme for Electronics and IT: Phase II.

Applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals. The candidate should have proven academic record, including peer-reviewed publications and recognitions. PDF applicants currently in regular employment will not be considered. Scientists or researchers with temporary positions in academia or research institutions would be considered, but they would be required to relinquish their current roles if selected for the fellowship. Preference would be given to PDF applicants who have active industry linkages and their research proposal is directed towards industry specific problems.

The upper age limit for the fellowship is 40 years on the date of submission of application.

It is a full-time, non-transferable, temporary position tenable in India only.

The application fee is non-refundable and should be paid before submitting the application form through online transfer in the bank account of IIIT Kalyani. The reference number of the bank transaction must be mentioned in the specified section of the application form.

Selection shall be made on the basis of fulfillment of the prescribed eligibility criteria and performance in the written test and/or interview.

Mere fulfilment of eligibility criteria does not ensure an applicant’s right to join as PDF. The Institute reserves the right not to fill the position if no candidate is found suitable. The post is purely on a contractual and temporary basis. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview. Applicants currently in regular employment will not be considered. Temporary position holders in academia or research must relinquish their current roles if selected. Applicants who completed their PhD from IIIT Kalyani are not eligible.
