After the declaration of the Round 1 seat allotment on July 24, 2026, the IISER 2026 Round 2 Seat Allotment Result will be released today, August 1, 2026. Depending on the availability of vacant seats, the admission process may continue through multiple rounds (up to 8–9) during August.

How to Check and Download the IISER 2026 Round 2 Seat Allotment Result

• Visit the official portal at iiseradmission.in.
• Click on the IAT 2026 counselling login link.
• Enter your application number and password.
• Open the seat allotment or "Round 2 Result" tab on your dashboard.
• View your allotted institute and programme, if allotted.
• Download and save the allotment letter as a PDF for future reference.

Willingness Options: Freeze vs Float

Once a Round 2 offer appears, candidates must choose between two willingness options before paying the SAF.

Important Instructions for Round 2 Candidates

• Admission offers are provisional until candidates report in person at the allotted IISER and complete document verification.
• Requests for extension of the seat acceptance deadline are not entertained under any circumstances; published deadlines are strictly enforced.
• Candidates who fail to pay the SAF or submit willingness within the deadline lose the offer and are not considered in subsequent rounds.
• Keep your login credentials (application number and password) secure and easily accessible during the entire counselling window.
• Regularly check the official portal, as counselling schedules can shift slightly depending on how each round progresses.

What Happens After Round 2 Allotment

Candidates who float after Round 2 remain in contention for Round 3, expected around August 10, 2026, and any further rounds that follow depending on vacancies. Candidates who freeze proceed toward document verification and physical reporting at their allotted IISER. The counselling process may continue for up to 8- 9 rounds in total, depending on how many seats remain vacant after each stage.
