Age is counted as on date of walk-in interview. Age relaxation for all posts: Higher qualification or experience May be considered with the prior approval of the competent authority.

Other conditions: Only Indian Nationals may attend. Technical Assistant (Video): proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro is essential. Technical Assistant (Graphic Design): hands-on experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Blender, or Maya is required. The prescribed educational qualification should have been obtained from recognized Universities / Institutions. Desirable: Technical Officer / Lead: Ph.D. in Science with a strong understanding of fundamental and contemporary scientific research. Technical Officer / Lead: proven expertise in interviewing scientists, science writing, and public media engagement. Technical Assistant (Video): experience with educational or online lecture editing.

Technical Officer / Lead (Science Communication & Technical Writing) Lead the content creation team at SMC. Conceptualize visual storytelling frameworks. Write and review scripts for video series and online modules. Prepare grant applications and institutional annual reports. Oversee digital media communications and media relations. Technical Assistant – Video Post-Production & Editing Edit video lectures, MOOC content, and institutional outreach videos. Handle audio synchronization, basic motion graphics, and multi-cam footage assembly. Archive project media files. Technical Assistant (Graphic Design & Science Illustration) Design high-quality scientific diagrams, publication graphics, cover art, and visual assets for digital media and educational modules. Support the SMC team in visual design projects.

Qualification required: Master's degree in Science in any discipline / Mass Communication / Journalism / Content Writing from a recognized University / Institute. Experience required: Minimum 3 years of demonstrated leadership experience in science communication, scripting educational video content, writing grant proposals, drafting institutional reports, and managing digital outreach strategies. Age limit: Maximum 35 years. Pay: Rs. 45,000 to Rs. 50,000 based on qualification/s & experience/s. Qualification required: Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication / Mass Communication / Media Production OR Any Graduate degree with a Diploma in Video Editing / Post-Production from a recognized Institute. The appointment is purely temporary and on a contractual basis. Initially for a period of one year, extendable subject to satisfactory performance and the requirements of the position. The appointed person shall have no claim of absorption in IISER Pune.

Screening Committee may restrict the number of candidates if many appear Walk-in Interview Where many candidates appear, not all eligible candidates may be interviewed. Candidates reporting after 10.30 AM will not be considered for the selection process. Number of posts may vary depending upon the requirements during the selection process. Waitlisted candidates may be offered the position if a selected candidate does not join or resigns after joining. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview. No interim enquiries, correspondence or communication of any sort will be entertained. Bringing any influence, political or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification for the post applied for.
