Candidates applying for the Project Associate position must meet the essential qualification specified by the institute. The requirements for the post are detailed below: Essential Qualification: PhD in the mechanical engineering Desirable Qualification: Prior experience in numerical simulation and solid state welding. Age Limit: 45 years

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated salary ranging between 40,000 and 50,000 per month. The position is temporary and is tenable till March, 2027.

The project aims to develop an online defect identification system during continuous casting process. The defect identification system should be able to identify the defective and non-defective billet/blooms.

The positions are available for immediate joining. The PI shall not be responsible for postal/courier delay, if any, or any other reason for non-receipt of the document at the specified time, which will result in disqualification/rejection of the application. The decision of the selection committee will be final. The appointment of the candidate will be governed by the terms and conditions of the Institute/funding agency, particularly applicable to the said project, as and when required. The selected candidate will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer. The fellowship may be terminated with a 30-day notice before completion of the tenure if performance to date is not deemed satisfactory.
