IIT Madras Project Research Scientist II Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online

There is a total of 01 vacancy available for the temporary post under the Department of Chemical Engineering.

The position is on a purely contract basis initially for one year and is extendable based on performance.

Candidates will be short-listed for Test/Interview on the basis of information provided in their online applications. The Institute reserves the right to decide the mode of screening and testing the applicant for shortlisting and selection.

All positions are on a purely contract basis, and completion of the contract period will not confer any right for further extension, regularization, or permanency. Candidates must be citizens of India (or subjects of Nepal or migrants from Pakistan with proper eligibility certificates from the Ministry of Home Affairs). Applicants working in any project at IIT Madras must apply through the proper channel or produce a No-Objection Certificate at the time of document verification/test/interview. Relevant experience gained after the minimum qualifying degree will only be taken into consideration. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
