SC candidates applying against the reserved Engine Driver vacancy: five years OBC Non-Creamy Layer candidates applying against reserved vacancies: three years Government servants applying for Store Keeper Grade II and Lascar: up to 40 years Other age relaxation will be provided according to Central Government instructions.

The Indian Coast Guard Group C selection process will include the following stages: Scrutiny of applications Shortlisting of eligible candidates Document verification Biometric verification Written examination Trade test, where applicable Preparation of the final merit list Admit cards will be issued to shortlisted candidates for document verification and the written examination.

Candidates qualifying in the written examination will be shortlisted for the trade test wherever applicable. The merit list will be prepared according to marks obtained in the written examination.

Candidates must attach self-attested photocopies of the following documents: Valid photo identity proof Matriculation marksheet and certificate Class 12, undergraduate, postgraduate or diploma certificates, as applicable Latest SC, ST, OBC or EWS certificate, where applicable Relevant experience certificates No Objection Certificate for candidates presently serving in a government organisation Two recent passport-size colour photographs Separate self-addressed blank envelope with a Rs.50 postal stamp affixed All documents must have been issued on or before the closing date of 3 November 2026. Original certificates should not be sent with the application.

The envelope containing the application must be superscribed in bold letters as: “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF __________” The candidate must also mention the applicable category, such as EWS, OBC Non-Creamy Layer, SC, ST or UR, on the envelope.

The application must be sent through ordinary post only. Incomplete applications will be rejected. Applications without the prescribed photograph or self-attested documents will be rejected. Applications containing overwriting, cutting, corrections or incorrect information may be rejected. The self-addressed envelope with a Rs.50 postal stamp is compulsory. Government employees must apply through the proper channel and attach an NOC. Candidates must bring original documents and two sets of self-attested photocopies during document verification. Selected candidates may initially be posted at any unit under Coast Guard Region (West). Selected candidates will have all-India transfer liability.
