SAC Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for SAC Recruitment 2026 varies by post code and is based on educational qualification, age limit, and (for JRF posts) a qualifying national-level test. Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply. Meeting the prescribed qualification is a minimum requirement only and does not automatically make a candidate eligible for the selection process. Wherever an M.E./M.Tech degree is prescribed, candidates must have passed with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks (average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI of 6.5 on a 10-point scale. Wherever an M.Sc/B.E./B.Tech degree is prescribed, candidates must have passed with a minimum aggregate of 65% marks (average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI of 6.84 on a 10-point scale. SAC Recruitment 2026 salary (fellowship/associateship amount) varies by post as follows. The fellowship amount is treated as Basic Pay for benefits like medical facility. For Research Associates, the associateship amount is fixed at one of the three pay levels shown above, based on the candidate's qualification and experience. House Rent Allowance (HRA) at prescribed rates will be paid if hostel accommodation is not provided, and medical benefits for self only will be allowed as per extant rules. The SAC Recruitment 2026 selection process is interview-based. Meeting the prescribed minimum qualification does not automatically make a candidate eligible for the selection process. Selected candidates will be posted at SAC, Ahmedabad, but may be required to work and stay at any location in India during the project tenure.
