The Jharkhand Home Guard Vahini is a voluntary organisation functioning under the Home Department of Jharkhand Government. Home Guards are voluntary members who are deployed on duty as per necessity and paid allowances at the rate determined by the Government for the number of working days of deployment. This is not a permanent or salaried government job.
