The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) is a medical education and research institute in Puducherry. These posts are part of a research project run by an outside funder, ICMR. The project is the PReMI Study (Preventing Premature Myocardial Infarction), a community-digital intervention to reduce cardiometabolic risk among young high-risk adults in South India. The Project Investigator is Dr Venkatachalam J of the Department of Preventive and Social Medicine.

The notice lists 7 posts in total, across three post types. All of them are for the same project, with the same funding agency, Project Investigator and likely duration.

The notice gives each post its own essential and desirable requirements, listed below. All three posts have the same age rule: a maximum of 40 years as on the last date of receipt of applications (6 November 2026), with relaxation as per GoI guidelines. Two rules apply to every post. The qualification and experience must be in a relevant discipline/field and from a reputed institution/organization. The experience must have been gained after getting the essential qualification. Experience working with PHCs or community health programmes. Experience in NCD prevention and control or related public health programmes. Interested in doing extramural Project PhD under the PI. All the posts pay a consolidated monthly amount and no other allowances. The notice also says the consolidated salary may vary from time to time, and no allowance or facility will be given beyond it. Each post has a likely duration of three years.

Coordinate day-to-day field activities and study operations. Supervise field staff and support household screening and participant recruitment. Coordinate and monitor delivery of study interventions and follow-up activities. Manage digital messaging and participant communication systems. Maintain field logistics, records, and study-related documentation. Ensure timely and complete data collection and reporting. Manage study databases and digital data capture systems. Perform data entry verification, cleaning, and validation. Monitor data completeness, consistency, and quality. Prepare and organise datasets for statistical analysis. Maintain data records and support routine data reporting. Conduct community-based data collection through household visits. Perform blood pressure measurement and anthropometric assessments. Candidates are shortlisted on the details in their application, CV and documentary proof. The list of eligible candidates will also be shown on the JIPMER website. The final selection will be based on the CV, the application and a written test/interview. According to the notice's evaluation criteria, these stages may follow the review of the application form.
