KSLSA Section Officer Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed LL.B (Bachelor of Laws) from a recognized University. The candidate must be an Indian citizen. A male candidate with more than one living wife, or a female candidate married to a person who already has another wife, is not eligible for appointment without prior approval from the Government. Candidates not claiming benchmark disability relaxation must be mentally and physically fit, free from any physical defect likely to interfere with efficient performance of duties. Persons permanently debarred from any examination or recruitment conducted by the Central/State Public Service Commission, Karnataka Examinations Authority, or any University are not eligible. Persons convicted for an offence involving moral turpitude, or temporarily debarred/disqualified from examinations, are not eligible until the competent authority holds them eligible. KSLSA Section Officer Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
Selection will be made through a Competitive Examination followed by an Interview . The examination will be conducted offline in OMR (objective) format, only at the Bengaluru centre. Each question has four alternative answers; candidates must select only one. 1/4th (0.75) marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. The OMR sheet has a fifth option/circle for each question; unanswered questions must have this fifth option shaded, or 0.75 marks will be deducted for that question. An additional 5 minutes is given after the last bell to shade the fifth option and avoid negative valuation. Candidates who have not studied Kannada as first/second language up to SSLC (or an equivalent/higher examination) must pass the Kannada Language Departmental Examination conducted by the Karnataka Public Service Commission before completing their probation period.
