Eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor is governed by U.G.C., State Government and AICTE rules, and the applicable rule set depends on the subject code applied for. The notification groups the subject codes as follows. For these posts the qualification stated in the notification is: A Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Besides fulfilling the above qualification, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC such as SET, or must have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Reg

Selected candidates will receive a consolidated salary, and the amount depends on teaching experience as stated in the notification. As these posts are purely temporary and on contract basis, candidates appointed will not be entitled to claim regular appointment.
