A total of 12 vacancies are available for the Assistant Grade-3 cadre.

Applicants must be citizens of India. Typing speed and proficiency will be tested during the skill test. All required certificates and documents must be valid and active as of the date of application submission.

Candidates must be between 18 years and 35 years of age as on 1 January 2026. For local residents of Chhattisgarh, the upper age limit is relaxed to 40 years. After including all permissible relaxations provided by the state government, the maximum age shall not exceed 45 years.

Selected candidates will be appointed on a probation period of three years.

The notification does not mention any application fee.

The selection process consists of two primary stages: First Stage: Written Examination Second Stage: Skill Test Candidates shortlisted from the written exam will be called for the skill test in a 1:10 ratio per post. A category-wise waiting list valid for up to one year will also be prepared based on skill test scores.

Written Examination: The written test comprises 25 objective-type multiple-choice questions carrying 2 marks each, totaling 50 marks. The duration of the exam is 45 minutes. Subjects covered include General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mathematics, and General Mental Ability. Skill Test: The skill test carries 250 marks with a time limit of 10 minutes. Candidates are required to type a passage of approximately 250 words accurately on a computer using Ubuntu Linux system, LibreOffice, and Unicode Font (Mangal etc.). 1 mark is deducted for each omitted word and error/mistake. Formatting settings such as headings, bold text, paragraphs, and underlining are also treated as errors.

Applications received after the last date and time or through modes other than post will be rejected. Incomplete applications or applications not in the prescribed format will be summarily rejected. Separate applications must be submitted if applying for more than one post, clearly superscribed on respective envelopes. Original identity proofs and documents must be produced during the skill test or verification stages. Selected candidates will undergo a 3-year probation period and must pass medical fitness standards prescribed by the Medical Board. Any attempt to influence the selection process directly or indirectly will lead to immediate disqualification and legal action.
