The syllabus covers General Knowledge, Science, Geography, History, Indian Constitution, National Integration, Current Affairs, Mental Aptitude, and General Studies. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates must score a minimum of 30 marks to be considered competitive.

After the medical exam, candidates will be shortlisted at a ratio of 1:2 per vacancy based on their written examination marks, and final appointment will be made in accordance with Govt. Order dated 13.04.2026. Selected candidates will undergo 9 months of basic foundational training at Police Training Schools.
