The written exam is Offline-OMR type with 100 objective-type questions for 100 marks, to be completed in 1½ hours (90 minutes). The syllabus covers General Knowledge, Science, Geography, History, Indian Constitution, National Integration, Current Affairs, Mental Aptitude, and General Studies. Candidates who qualify the PST and Endurance Test will be called for a Medical Examination conducted by a medical board. Only those declared medically fit will be considered for final selection. After the medical exam, candidates will be shortlisted at a ratio of 1:2 per vacancy based on their written examination marks, and final appointment will be made in accordance with Govt. Order dated 13.04.2026. Selected candidates will undergo 9 months of basic foundational training at Police Training Schools.
