LPSSRB Assistant Superintendent Jail Category-wise Vacancy 2026

Additional Eligibility Conditions: Candidates must possess a valid Domicile Certificate of the Union Territory of Ladakh issued by the competent authority. For the Warder post, proficiency in driving and possession of a valid Light Motor Vehicle Driving Licence (Trans) serves as a desired qualification carrying incentive marks up to 5% of the maximum written exam marks.

The age limit for all posts shall be 18 to 28 years, reckoned as on 01.01.2026.

Payment Mode: Fees can be paid online via Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards, or UPI on the Recruitment Application Software (RAS) during online submission. Fees once paid are non-refundable.

Physical Measurement Test (PMT) - Qualifying Physical Endurance Test (PET) - Qualifying Scrutiny of original documents/testimonials - Qualifying Typing Test (Junior Assistant only) - Qualifying Driving test (Warder only) - Up to 5% of maximum marks of written examination Written Examination - 100 marks

The written examination consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in English only, carrying 1 mark per question with no negative marking. Duration is 80 minutes.

General Knowledge & Reasoning: Current affairs (national/international), awareness of events, Indian history, Indian freedom movement, art & culture, geography, economics, general polity and constitution, awards and honors, sports, gender and weaker sections sensitivity, environmental issues, common abbreviations, current technological developments, Ladakh history, art, culture, geography, and current affairs. Reasoning topics include analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, coding-decoding, non-verbal series, number series, alphabet series, and number ranking. Candidates must possess eligibility as on the last date of application submission. Applications without the prescribed fee will be summarily rejected. In-service candidates must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their Head of Department. Candidates appearing for PST/PET must bring two recent passport-size photographs and a valid original photo ID proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, etc.). Only one application per candidate is permitted; duplicate applications will lead to summary rejection. Biometric data, CCTV footage, and RFID timing will be used during the recruitment stages to ensure transparency.
