The LAHD SSRB Recruitment 2026 online application process begins on 27 October 2026. The last date to submit the application and complete online fee payment is 27 November 2026. The written examination date will be announced separately on the official website.

LAHD-SSRB has announced 216 vacancies in matriculation, 10+2 and graduate-level post categories. The vacancies are distributed among departments including Health and Medical Education, Public Works, Rural Development, Revenue, Animal Husbandry and Sheep Husbandry. The recruitment includes vacancies under Unreserved, Scheduled Tribe, Actual Line of Control and Economically Weaker Sections categories. The official annexure also identifies applicable horizontal reservations. Important: The official Annexure XVI reports a total of 216 vacancies, while its printed category-wise totals add up to 197. Candidates should follow any official clarification or corrigendum issued by LAHD-SSRB rather than assuming an allocation for the difference. LAHD SSRB Category-wise Vacancy 2026

Eligibility for LAHD SSRB Recruitment 2026 depends on the selected post. Candidates may require Matriculation (10th pass), 10+2, relevant trade certification, a technical diploma, nursing qualification or a recognized university degree. All candidates must also satisfy the prescribed Leh domicile and age conditions. Note: Candidates must refer to Annexure XVI of the official notification for the complete wording of trade names, qualification requirements, recognized certificates and post-specific conditions. Only eligible residents of the erstwhile Leh District can apply for the LAHD SSRB Recruitment 2026 district cadre posts. Candidates must possess the prescribed Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority under the applicable Union Territory of Ladakh rules. Applicants from outside the prescribed erstwhile Leh District domicile area are not eligible merely because they reside elsewhere in Ladakh. The general age limit for LAHD SSRB Recruitment 2026 is 18 to 40 years as on 1 January 2026. Candidates must have been born between 1 January 1986 and 1 January 2008, inclusive, for the general age requirement. Relaxation is available to eligible categories. Age relaxation for reserved categories is governed by the relevant provisions of the notification. Age relaxation against unreserved posts will be restricted to the relaxation available for UR candidates.

The LAHD SSRB Recruitment 2026 pay scales range from ₹14,800 to ₹81,100 across different posts and pay levels. Actual basic salary depends on the selected post's level. The notification specifies pay levels rather than a fixed in-hand salary. The Junior Assistant / Ledger Clerk post carries Level 4 pay of ₹25,500 to ₹81,100. The starting basic pay is ₹25,500, while actual in-hand salary depends on applicable allowances and deductions. Driver Grade-II carries Level 2 pay of ₹19,900 to ₹63,200. Actual take-home salary will vary according to applicable service rules and deductions. Junior Nurse carries Level 4 pay of ₹25,500 to ₹81,100. The application fee for LAHD SSRB Recruitment 2026 is ₹200. The fee must be paid online using the payment methods available in the recruitment portal. It is non-refundable and non-transferable. Candidates applying for more than one category of post must submit the applicable separate applications and fee payments. The application will not be considered if the required fee is not paid.

The LAHD SSRB Recruitment 2026 selection process includes an objective-type written examination conducted through CBT, TBT or OMR mode, as decided by the Board. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification. Applicable qualifying skill tests may also be conducted for specific posts. The subjects are General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language. The examination duration is 90 minutes, with negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. The syllabus covers General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language. The difficulty level will correspond to the prescribed qualification level of the post, including Matriculation, 10+2 and Graduation. Analogy, similarity and differences, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision-making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationships, number series, non-verbal reasoning and related topics. Current affairs, everyday science, history, geography, culture, economics, general polity, scientific research and matters relating to India and neighbouring countries. Number systems, whole numbers, decimals, fractions, percentages, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, time and distance, time and work, algebra, geometry, mensuration and data interpretation. Topics vary according to examination level. Vocabulary, gramma
