Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS) is a university in Hisar, Haryana (PIN 125004). This recruitment is for the Department of Livestock Production Management in its College of Veterinary Sciences. The posts serve the department's project "Field Progeny Testing programme for Buffalo Improvement (Murrah)". The Principal Investigator of the project is Dr. Dipin Chander Yadav.

Candidates need one of these essential qualifications for the Field Artificial Insemination (A.I) worker-cum-data recorder post: MAITRI (Multipurpose Artificial Insemination Technicians in Rural India) certificate from an Artificial Insemination Training Institute (AITI) accredited by the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD), Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Govt. of India; OR Veterinary and Livestock Development Diploma from a recognised University/Institute; OR Artificial Insemination training certificate from a Govt. Institute like Haryana Veterinary Training Institute (HVTI), Hisar. Desirable: Skilled in A.I. and Pregnancy diagnosis, Semen handling, record keeping. Age limit: The minimum age is 18 years and the upper age limit is 50 years. Age is counted as on the last date of application (5 November 2026). Preference: Preference goes to candidates

Monthly emoluments are Rs. 20,000/- + HRA (As per LUVAS rules). The engaged person will be entitled to TA/DA as per rules. Salary will be paid when the funds are received from the funding agency. The engagement is co-terminus with the project. When the project ends, the person will be relieved. The university or department will not be responsible for adjusting him/her in the university. The engaged person will not be a regular employee of the university. He/she will not get CPF/GPF or any other benefit admissible to regular employees. The services can be terminated at any time if work and conduct are not found satisfactory, after giving due opportunity of being heard. They can also be terminated at any time because of a shortage of funds. A selected candidate who wants to leave can do so after giving 15 days' notice in writing to the department/university.

Artificial Insemination in Murrah buffaloes of selected villages, Record keeping, Pregnancy diagnosis, milk recording, reports preparation, semen handling, awareness to farmers and all other project related activities. Any other work assigned by the PI or the university authorities. The project will run in selected villages of Hisar district on the Hisar-balsamand and/or Hisar-Chaudhariwas routes. The place of work will be the selected village(s) and the Department of Livestock Production Management, COVS, LUVAS. The Principal Investigator may also depute the person to any other place.

At the time of joining, the selected candidate must produce a medical certificate of fitness from the CMO of the University. Before joining, the selected candidate must sign an agreement on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.10/-. The candidate must report for duty within 10 days of the date the order is issued. Otherwise the engagement will be treated as withdrawn. The University will not bear any liability if an engaged person dies during the period of engagement.
