How to Check and Download Maharashtra DSE CAP Round 2 Allotment Result

Once the result is live, candidates can follow these steps to check their status and download the provisional allotment letter:

• Visit the official portal: dse2026.mahacet.org.in.
• Locate and click the "CAP Round 2 Seat Allotment Result 2026" link on the homepage.
• Enter your Application ID and Password (or Date of Birth).
• Click Submit to view your provisional allotment status.
• Download and print the Provisional Allotment Letter - it is required during physical reporting for document verification.

What to Do After the Maharashtra DSE CAP Round 2 Allotment

After checking the result, candidates need to choose between two options in their candidate login:

1. Freeze Option (Seat Acceptance)

Candidates allotted a seat matching their top 3 preferences are auto-freezed by the system. Candidates satisfied with any other allotted seat can choose self-freeze. In both cases, candidates must:

• Accept the seat and pay the seat acceptance fee online via candidate login.
• Report physically to the allotted college between August 16 and August 18, 2026 (up to 5:00 PM IST).

Auto-freezed candidates are not eligible to participate in subsequent CAP rounds.

2. Float / Betterment Option (Participate in Round 3)

Candidates allotted a seat outside their top 3 preferences who wish to try for a better option can select "Not Freeze / Betterment." This requires paying the online seat acceptance fee between August 16 and August 18, 2026 (up to 3:00 PM IST) to retain the currently allotted seat while remaining eligible for CAP Round 3.
