Selected candidates will be placed as Executive Trainees during a one-year training period at an initial Basic Pay of ₹40,000 per month in the E-1 (IDA) pay scale of ₹40,000–₹1,40,000, along with applicable Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA). In addition to Basic Pay and IDA, the posts carry other benefits including: House Rent Allowance (HRA) and cafeteria-approach allowances Provident Fund (PF) and National Pension System (NPS) Performance Related Pay Group Medical Insurance MECL-Employee Defined Contributory Superannuation Scheme Group Personal Accident Insurance and Term Insurance Two/four-wheeler vehicle loan and house building advance, as per company guidelines

An application registration fee of ₹500 is applicable for General/OBC/EWS candidates. The fee is not applicable for SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen/Departmental candidates. Payment must be made online through Net-Banking or a QR code hosted on the MECL website under the Careers section. The fee, once paid, is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted against any other examination or selection.

The MECL Executive Trainee Recruitment 2026 selection process is based entirely on the UPSC ESE 2024 score, with no separate written examination or personal interview conducted by MECL: In case of a tie in total UPSC ESE 2024 score, seniority in age (as per Matriculation certificate) will be considered first, followed by a higher aggregate percentage in the essential engineering degree.
