MHRB Assam Recruitment 2026: 492 Registrar, Demonstrator and Resident Physician Posts, Apply Online

A total of 492 posts of Registrar/Demonstrator/Resident Physician are available across the following departments. The table below shows category-wise posts (UR, OBC/MOBC, SC, ST-Plains, ST-Hills), the RFW (Reserved for Women) figure under each category as printed in the notification, the department total, and posts reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PWD). Note: The number of vacancies may vary due to administrative exigencies in due course of time. Category of Disability considered: Orthopedically handicapped with at least one arm and one leg, and low vision. Hearing handicapped and blind candidates may be considered if they can perform the job with aids and appliances.

Candidates must have Indian citizenship as mentioned in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India. Candidates must have the requisite qualification and registration under the Assam Council of Medical Registration, Medical Council of India, or the National Medical Commission. Doctors serving under the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Directorate of Health Services (DHS), National Health Mission (NHM) Assam, and other Government agencies are eligible to apply, and no separate NOC from the State Government is required for these posts.

A Postgraduate qualification of MD/MS/DNB/MDS in the concerned subject from an institute under any Indian University recognised by the National Medical Commission (previously MCI)/National Board of Education (NBE)/Dental Council of India is required for the following departments: Anaesthesiology, Dentistry, Dermatology, ENT, Emergency Medicine, FSM, Medicine, Microbiology, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, O&G, Pharmacology, Pathology, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, PM&R, Radiology, Radiation Oncology, Surgery, SPM (Community Medicine), TB & Chest (Pulmonary Medicine), and Nuclear Medicine. Anatomy Department: Postgraduate qualification MS (Anatomy)/M.Sc (Medical Anatomy) with Ph.D in Medical Anatomy, as per the latest notification of NMC, New Delhi. Selected candidates will draw a pay scale of ₹57,700 – ₹1,82,400 per month (Academic Level 10), plus other allowances as admissible under the applicable rules.

The application fee can be paid in either of two ways: Through Treasury Challan under the Head of Account "0210-Medical and Public Health-01-Urban Health Services-800-Other Receipt", OR Online through the Government Receipt Accounting System (GRAS) at https://assamegras.gov.in . The printed copy of the Treasury Challan generated through GRAS should be submitted at the time of scrutiny of documents, with the applied post mentioned in the Remarks column. Fees are non-refundable, and no mode of deposit other than Treasury Challan (offline or via GRAS) will be accepted.

The selection procedure will be notified later through a separate Notice. The Board will decide the selection procedure for these posts based on the number of applications received.
