MHT CET Merit List 2026 - Overview

The State CET Cell, Maharashtra has revised the MHT CET 2026 merit list schedule. The provisional MHT CET merit list 2026 will be released on July 22, 2026, on the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org. This date was earlier postponed twice first from July 15 to July 19, and now to July 22, 2026. Candidates will need their application ID and date of birth to download the merit list, which will show their rank and eligibility for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) counselling. Separate merit lists will be prepared for MHT CET candidates and for JEE Main-qualified candidates.

MHT CET 2026 Merit List: What It Contains

The provisional MHT CET merit list 2026 will be released in online mode and can be downloaded without a separate login password only the application ID and date of birth are required. The list includes the names and ranks of candidates who are eligible to proceed to the admission process. After the provisional list is published, candidates get a window to raise objections or request corrections. The final merit list, released after grievances are considered, is the one used for CAP counselling and seat allotment.

• Enter your application ID and date of birth when prompted.
• The MHT CET merit list will be displayed on the screen.

MHT CET Merit List 2026: Tie-Breaking Rule

If two or more candidates score the same marks in MHT CET 2026, the State CET Cell applies the following tie-breaking criteria in order:

• Higher marks in the Mathematics section of MHT CET 2026 get the higher rank.
• If the tie persists, higher marks in the Physics section of MHT CET 2026 are considered.
• If the tie still persists, higher marks in the Chemistry section of MHT CET 2026 are considered.
• If unresolved, a higher combined percentage in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the qualifying board exam is considered.
• If still tied, a higher percentage in Mathematics in the 10+2 (or equivalent) exam is considered.
• If still tied, a higher percentage in Physics in the 10+2 (or equivalent) exam is considered.
• If all the above are exhausted, a higher percentage in Chemistry in the 10+2 (or equivalent) exam decides the rank.

• The MHT CET 2026 merit list PDF will be released only in online mode.
• Separate merit lists will be released for each candidate category All India, Maharashtra, J&K Migrant, NRI, PIO, OCI, CIWGC, and FN candidates.
