Selected candidates are entitled to free medical treatment in MPA hospital for self only to the extent of available facilities. Port accommodation may be provided subject to availability at prevailing rent and other charges, along with water and electricity charges at actuals.

The selection process consists of application scrutiny, document verification, a written examination carrying 85% marks, and an oral interview carrying 15% marks. There shall be -0.25 negative marks for each wrong answer. Candidates must score a minimum of 50% marks in Section I (Civil Engineering) with 50% in aggregate put together to qualify for shortlisting to the oral interview. Qualifying marks in the oral interview shall be 50% of the total marks assigned in the interview. Final selection is based on total qualifying marks scored in the written exam and oral interview taken together.

No candidates shall be allowed to enter the exam centre after 9:45 am on 28.10.2026. The contract engagement is for a period of two years and will automatically terminate upon expiry. The contract engagement does not confer any right to claim permanent absorption in Port service. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.
