Qualification (JRF) : Master’s degree in relevant subjects (Geology, Geophysics, Marine Science, Oceanography, Chemistry etc.) or Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology with at least 60% marks + CSIR-UGC NET/GATE qualified. Qualification (SRF) : Master’s degree in relevant subjects with at least 55% marks + One SCI publication + Two years post-Master’s research experience. Desirable : Relevant research experience, programming skills (Python, MATLAB, Fortran etc.), field work experience. Age Limit (as on 09 July 2026) : Maximum 28 years for JRF and 32 years for SRF. Age relaxation as per Government of India norms.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) : Rs. 37,000/- + HRA per month. Senior Research Fellow (SRF) : Rs. 42,000/- + HRA per month.

Walk-in Interview Document Verification

Positions are purely temporary on contract basis under project mode (initially for 1 year). No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Candidates must bring all original documents and one set of self-attested copies. OBC candidates must bring valid NCL certificate. Selected candidates will have no claim for regular absorption in NCPOR.
