The 147 vacancies notified under Advt. No. 04/26 are spread across eight posts, as shown below. The vacancy numbers include category-wise reservation and any backlog, as per the prescribed roster points. The notification clarifies that the projected vacancy numbers may increase or decrease at NGEL management's discretion. Every post under NGEL Recruitment 2026 has its own qualification, experience and job-summary requirements. Candidates should check the post they intend to apply for carefully, since a candidate can apply for only one post among those advertised. Qualification: Full-time BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engg.) in Civil Engineering with at least 65% marks from a recognised university/institution (55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates). Experience: Minimum 3 years' post-qualification executive experience (including training period, if any) in Geotech/piling/foundation/structural steel/tower structures/switchyard, etc. Candidates with RE experience are preferred. The upper age limit for all eight posts is 35 years , computed as on the last date of receipt of the online application. As per the notification, the approximate CTC for the advertised posts is Rs 11,00,000 per annum . This is indicative and includes both fixed and variable components, House Rent Allowance (HRA), Mediclaim for self, spouse, dependent parents and two children, performance-based variable pay, and a satisfactory service grant. The notification states that actual remuneration will depend on the candidate's experience, place of posting, and other terms and conditions of appointment.

NGEL may conduct a multi-stage selection process comprising application shortlisting/screening, a Computer-Based Test (CBT), Group Discussion and/or Interview, or a combination of these, and reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards if required. The CBT is bilingual with multiple-choice questions and has two sections: Section 1 – Subject Knowledge Test (SKT) (discipline-specific questions) and Section 2 – Aptitude Test (AT) (numerical ability, reading comprehension, reasoning, general awareness, data interpretation). The test has 100 questions and a duration of 2 hours . There is negative marking : ¼ of the marks allotted to a question is deducted for every wrong answer.
