• Stage Details
• 1. Application Scrutiny Screening Committee shortlists candidates based on academic credentials, research output, experience, credit points and fit to notified areas of specialization as per Flexible Recruitment Rules & MoE instructions.
• 2. Shortlisting Shortlisted candidates will be called for teaching and research presentations followed by personal interview. Intimation via email and website only.
• 3. Interview & Presentations Candidates must give teaching and research presentations; then appear before the Selection Committee for interview.
• 4. Final Merit / Selection Institute reserves right to limit number of candidates based on academic brilliance, experience and departmental needs; decision of Institute will be final and binding.
• SC/ST/PwD candidates called for interview will be reimbursed travel expenses for onward and return journey by shortest route in India

• Register on the recruitment portal with a valid email ID and mobile number, then log in to access the online application form.
• Fill in all required personal, academic, and experience details carefully; ensure eligibility as per department and post applied for.
• Upload all relevant documents: identity proof, proof of date of birth, academic mark sheets and degree certificates (UG, PG, PhD), category certificates (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwD), experience certificates and salary slips, publications list (SCOPUS/Web of Science), proof of projects, patents, PhD guidance, administrative roles, outreach, awards, etc.
• Pay the non-refundable application processing fee (as per category) via NEFT/RTGS/online transfer to the specified NITK bank account and upload proof of payment in PDF format.
• Download, hand-fill and sign the mandatory “Attestation Form” (Annexure II), then upload the scanned copy in the portal.
• Candidates in Government/Quasi Govt/Universities/PSUs must upload No Objection Certificate or Self Declaration (Annexure I) and provide Vigilance Clearance Certificate at the time of interview.
• Verify all details and documents in the online form and then click on “Submit” to complete the application process.
• After successful submission, download and save the PDF of the completed application form for future reference.
• At the time of interview, candidates must produce the printed application form, original Attestation Form, and all original supporting documents along with self-attested copies.

• Candidates must read the detailed instructions and recruitment policies carefully before filling the online application form and ensure that they satisfy all eligibility criteria.
• Reservation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwD is applicable as per Government of India norms; OBC-NCL/EWS certificates must be issued on or after 01.04.2026 in prescribed format.
• Persons with Disabilities with at least 40% permanent disability must upload prescribed disability/medical certificate issued by competent authorities. Incomplete applications or those without requisite documents, payment proof, or Attestation Form will be rejected and will not be processed further. Applications of non-shortlisted and non-selected candidates will be retained by the Institute for six months after the publication of the selection list. Any canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification from the recruitment process.
