The applicable age limit will depend on the mode of appointment and the NIT Recruitment Rules 2019. Age, qualification and experience will be calculated as of 4 November 2026. Relaxation for SC, ST, OBC, PwD and Ex-servicemen candidates will be provided according to Government of India rules.

The appointments will initially be for one year and may be extended according to the institute’s requirements.

The non-refundable fee must be paid online. Proof of fee payment must be attached to the printed application after writing the applicant’s name on the receipt.

The selection process will include: Screening or shortlisting of applications Written Test in the relevant field or trade Trade Test in the relevant specialization Document verification Based on written-test marks, candidates up to six times the number of vacancies may be shortlisted for the Trade Test. The final merit list will be prepared based on the Written Test and Trade Test.

Online submission alone is not sufficient; the hard copy must also reach the institute before the deadline. Applications received after 11 November 2026 at 5:30 PM will not be considered. Incomplete applications or applications without supporting documents will be rejected. Government and PSU employees must apply through the proper channel or produce an NOC. Original documents must be produced during document verification. No travelling allowance will be paid for attending the selection process.
