Important Instructions for NPTEL Exam Candidates

• Carry a printed hall ticket and a valid photo ID. Both are mandatory at the exam centre. Earlier NPTEL hall tickets state that copies on a phone are not accepted.
• Check all details after downloading. Verify your name, photograph, signature, course, exam date, centre and session timing. The name should match your government photo ID.
• Print on A4 paper in a clear print. The photograph and signature must stay legible for the hall ticket to be valid.
• Return the hall ticket printout to the invigilator before leaving the hall. Earlier hall tickets ask for this, so keep it safe until the exam ends.
• Follow the rules on your own hall ticket and report errors early. Exam dates and sessions vary by course, so rely on the details printed on your document. If anything is wrong, contact NPTEL support through the portal before the exam day.
