Candidates planning to attend the Oil India walk-in interview should note the following important dates carefully, as no relaxation will be given beyond the stated time window. Note: Registration must be completed compulsorily between 07:00 A.M. and 09:00 A.M. on the scheduled date. No candidate will be permitted to register beyond this time frame under any circumstances.

Oil India Limited intends to fill 4 posts of Contractual Chemist (Fields) purely on a contractual basis. The engagement involves shift-based work of an arduous and hazardous nature at remote/far-flung OIL installations, including "On-Call" duty. PwBD Suitability for this post: Dw (Dwarfism), AAV (Acid Attack Victims). Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply as on the date of registration.

Candidates must fulfil the qualification, experience, and age criteria mentioned below as on the date of registration for the Walk-in Interview. Master's Degree in Chemistry of a minimum 02 (two) years duration from a Government of India recognized University/Institute. Minimum 02 (two) years of post-qualification work experience in handling drilling/workover fluids in the E&P (Exploration & Production) industry (Drilling and Workover Wells). Minimum age for all categories: 18 years. Age is reckoned as on the date of registration for the Walk-in Interview. Only a Class 10th certificate, Admit Card, or Marksheet issued by a recognized Government Education Board will be accepted as valid proof of date of birth.

Selected candidates will receive a total Contract Emoluments of ₹70,000/- per month, consisting of Fixed and Variable components. Additionally, an incidental allowance of ₹500/- per day is payable for the actual number of days worked outside the place of posting. Note: In case a selected candidate avails Maternity Leave during the contractual engagement, only the Fixed component of the Contract Emoluments will be paid for that period. Selection will be made purely through a Walk-in Interview, as per the criteria below: Candidates will be assessed through a Walk-in Interview carrying a total of 100 marks. The minimum qualifying marks are 50, applicable to all categories. Assessment parameters include Professional Knowledge and Skills (in the concerned discipline), Professional Knowledge and Skills (in allied discipline), and Personal Attributes and Soft Skills. Final selection will be strictly on merit, based on marks obtained in the Walk-in Interview by candidates securing the qualifying marks of 50 or above.

Candidates must carry both original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies of the following at the time of registration:

Deployment at drilling/workover wells as well-site chemist. Preparation and maintenance of drilling mud and workover brine solutions at well sites. Addressing critical well situations such as pipe stuck, mud loss, and well kick/blowout. Assisting in well cementing operations. Carrying out gas testing, calculating mud hydraulics, and monitoring lithology of drill cuttings. Maintaining adequate stock of drilling and workover fluid chemicals as per operational requirement. Maintaining vigilance on safety and pollution control measures related to chemical activities at well sites.

Experience in handling drilling/workover fluids. Experience in laboratory analysis of drilling/workover fluids. Experience in handling various chemicals used in drilling/workover fluids. Experience in addressing downhole complications in drilling/workover wells. Ability to generate daily well reports, downhole problem reports, and cementing reports. Knowledge of MS Office and computer applications is desirable. Good communication skills.

The initial period of contractual engagement is 01 (one) year, extendable for another 01 (one) year based on departmental requirement, job performance, conduct, and physical fitness. The total period of engagement will be a maximum of 02 (two) years.

Mobile phones, calculators, and other electronic/objectionable items are strictly banned within the venue premises; violation will lead to debarment and possible blacklisting. The contract may be terminated by either side with 15 days' notice. Provisionally selected candidates must join immediately; a maximum extension of 15 additional days may be granted upon intimation, failing which the selection stands cancelled. No Travelling Allowance/Daily Allowance will be paid for appearing in the Walk-in Interview. Candidates must make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation; no reimbursement will be provided for joining. Selected candidates are entitled to 20 days of paid leave per year of contractual engagement.
