OPSC Language Officer Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online

Qualification: Graduation with Odia as Honours subject or Graduation with English as Honours subject and Odia as Pass/Compulsory subject or Post-Graduation in Odia + Graduation in Law from a recognized University. Experience (for Age Relaxation): Minimum 7 years of service (or 3 years with at least 1 year translation work) in relevant Group B/C government posts.

Pay Scale: Rs. 35,400/- (Level-9 of Pay Matrix under ORSP Rules 2017) Plus usual Dearness Allowance and other allowances sanctioned by Government of Odisha.

Minimum Age: 21 years Maximum Age: 42 years Age relaxation: 5 years for ST/Women/Ex-Servicemen, 10 years for PwD, cumulative for ST + PwD.

Rs. 700/- for candidates other than SC, ST and PwD. Nil for SC, ST and PwD candidates. Fee is refundable to candidates who appear in both papers of the Written Examination.

Written Examination (Subjective Type) - 300 marks (Paper-I & Paper-II) Viva-Voce Test - 40 marks

Candidates must be Indian citizens of good character and sound health. Government servants must submit No Objection Certificate. Only Odisha ST certificates by birth are valid. Mere selection does not guarantee appointment.
