Candidates need a veterinary degree along with a valid state registration to be eligible for this post, and additional conversion certificates apply to candidates with foreign degrees. Possess a valid Registration Certificate under the Odisha Veterinary Practitioners Act, 1970 (Section 21) , and must register under this Act on or before the last date of submission of the online application form.

The age limit for this recruitment is calculated as on 1 January 2026, and it applies uniformly since this recruitment is conducted only for SEBC/SC/ST candidates. A special age relaxation exists for Persons with Disabilities within these categories.
