| Details | Candidates are required to pay the examination fee through the online mode only via the Odisha Treasury portal linked with the online application form. Fee once paid will be refunded only to candidates who actually appear in the first stage (Preliminary Examination) of the recruitment. Applications without payment of examination fees (except SC/ST/PwD candidates) will be treated as incomplete and liable for rejection. All candidates must clearly mention their valid/active bank account details in the online application for receiving the refundable fee. |
Age Limit
| Details | Candidates must be minimum 21 years and maximum 42 years as on 01-01-2025. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SEBC, SC, ST, and all Women candidates, and by 10 years for PwD candidates. PwD candidates belonging to SC/ST category are entitled to a cumulative relaxation of 10 years over and above the normal relaxation for their category. - Applications must be submitted online only through the OSSC official website https://www.ossc.gov.in. No physical/hard copy application will be accepted. New users must click on "NEW USER" button and complete Online Registration. Registered users must click on "REGISTERED USER" and proceed to fill the application form. The candidate can exercise options for more than one post/service as per their eligibility. Only one online application is allowed per candidate; multiple applications will result in cancellation of all applications. Candidates are strongly advised to submit the application well in advance without waiting for the closing date.

Important Instructions
- Only bonafide Indian citizens are eligible to apply; must be able to read, write and speak Odia fluently. Candidates must possess the requisite qualification on the last date of submission of Online Application Form. No hard copy / physical application will be accepted – online submission only. Examination fee is refundable only to candidates who actually appear in the Preliminary Examination. Only one online application is allowed per candidate; multiple applications will result in cancellation. Candidates applying for Senior Economic Investigator post must choose one of 13 technical paper subjects in the online form; this choice is final and cannot be changed. PwD candidates must have permanent disability of not below 40% to be eligible to apply under PwD category. PwD candidates requiring scribe must opt for scribe in the online application form; scribe facility is not allowed for Computer Skill Test. Government servants / PSU employees must obtain and upload NOC from their controlling authority; those who become Government servants after submission must produce NOC at Certificate Verification. Mobile phones and electronic gadgets are banned inside examination premises. No Admission Letter will be sent by post; candidates must download from OSSC website regularly. All information published regarding this recruitment will be on the OSSC website only – candidates are advised to check it regularly. Any misrepresentation/use of forged/false documents at any stage of selection will result in cancellation of candidature, debarment, and criminal proceedings.
