OSSSC Radiographer Vacancy 2026 covers 240 District Cadre posts across all 30 districts of Odisha. Radiographer is a district cadre post - a selected candidate will be posted and transferred within the allotted district only. The number of posts to be filled may change without prior notice at the discretion of the Government. Of the 240 total posts, special category vacancies (included within the district totals above) are reserved as follows: Ex-Servicemen – 2 (Cuttack, Ganjam), Hearing Impaired (HI) – 6 (Angul, Cuttack, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Khordha, Koraput, Sambalpur - one each, as specified in the annexure), and Orthopedically Impaired (OI) – 4 (Balangir, Ganjam, Kalahandi, one each, as specified in the annexure). Nationality: Must be a citizen of India. Educational Qualification: Must have passed the +2 Science Examination under the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha (or equivalent), and passed a Diploma in Medical Radiation Technology (DMRT) or Bachelor in Medical Radiation Technology (BMRT) from a Government Medical College and Hospital of the state, or any other private institution recognized by the Government of Odisha or the All India Council of Technical Education. Professional Registration: Must have registered their name in the Radiographers Council of the State and possess a valid Registration or Renewal Certificate as on the date of submission of the online application, which must be uploaded online. Odia Language: Must be able to speak, read, and write Odia, satisfied by having passed the Middle School Examination with Odia as a language subject, or Matriculation/equivalent

A candidate eligible for relaxation under more than one category is eligible for only one benefit of relaxation, whichever is most beneficial. Persons in Defence Service with more than six months left to retire/be discharged as on the last date of online application are not eligible to apply. Fee must be paid online via Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI through the payment gateway during submission of the online application. The examination fee of ₹500/- will be refunded to applicants who actually appear for the examination; the refund is processed after the examination and verification of attendance records, credited to the same account/payment method used at the time of application. No refund is admissible to applicants who fail to appear in the examination for any reason.

Selection consists of a Written Test followed by Document Verification. The Written Test is MCQ type, conducted in OMR/CBRE mode (exact mode to be notified later), in one paper of 100 marks. Negative marking applies: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer; no penalty for unattempted questions; more than one answer marked for a question is treated as wrong. Minimum qualifying marks/normalized score: 30% for ST, SC, PwDs, and Ex-Servicemen candidates; 35% for all other candidates. Tie-break sequence: higher percentage of marks in DMRT, then age seniority (older ranked higher), then higher marks in +2 Science, then the Commission's discretion.
