Panjab University Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline for Coach / Past Champion Athlete Posts

A total of 4 vacancies are available across four sports disciplines under the Khelo India Scheme of SAI (Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports).

Eligibility criteria differ based on whether the applicant applies under Individual Sports or Team Sports.

Maximum age limit for applicants will be 40 years. However, relaxation may be accorded in deserving cases. Not specified in the notification beyond relaxation in deserving cases.

No TA/DA shall be admissible for interview and joining the assignment. No other facilities like DA, accommodation, residential phone, conveyance/ transport, personal staff, medical reimbursement, HRA, and LTC etc. would be admissible.

The notification does not mention any application fee.

The contractual engagement will be initially for a period of 02 years, which could be further extended on the basis of performance. Tax deduction at source (TDS) or any other tax liable will be deducted as per prevailing rules before effecting payment. Performance of the selected candidates will be continuously reviewed and their extension will be considered on the basis of periodic review/requirement. This appointment will be on contract basis and does not confer any right to claim to permanent employment in Panjab University, Chandigarh. The competent authority reserves the right to terminate the contract by giving 30 days notice if performance is not found satisfactory, and may withdraw the offer at any time without assigning any reason. Candidates who have earlier applied as per notice no. 3656/DS dated 07.08.2025 need not be applied again.
