PMBI is the implementing agency for the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) and is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. Through this PMBI Recruitment 2026 notification, the Bureau is hiring contractual staff at various levels - from Executive to General Manager - to support its Sales & Marketing, Procurement, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, HR, Legal, Media, Grievance Redressal, International Assistance and Coordination functions.

Candidates must pay an application fee of Rs. 100 in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of "Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices Bureau of India (PMBI)" . The original Demand Draft must be attached with the application form. Applications submitted without the Demand Draft will be rejected, and the fee will not be refunded even if the recruitment is cancelled for any reason.

Pay is structured as a monthly consolidated amount that differs by post and department, ranging from Rs. 32,500/month (Executive-level posts) up to Rs. 1,58,000/month (General Manager-level posts), as detailed in the post-wise tables above. In addition to consolidated pay, most posts also carry Conveyance Allowance (Rs. 500 to Rs. 15,000/month) and Telephone Allowance (Rs. 500 to Rs. 2,000/month), along with Provident Fund as per norms, Group Mediclaim Policy (Rs. 5 Lacs or Rs. 10 Lacs), Group Term Life Insurance (Rs. 10 Lacs) and Group Accidental Insurance (Rs. 10 Lacs). Selection for PMBI Recruitment 2026 follows a three-stage process: Initial Screening: The duly filled application form, along with copies of educational and experience documents, is checked and verified against the eligibility criteria for the post applied for. Written Examination: Screened eligible candidates are called for a written exam based on English language writing skills, subject knowledge related to the post, and general knowledge. No conveyance is paid for appearing in the written exam. Date, time, venue and syllabus are communicated to eligible candidates by email before the exam. Personal Interaction cum Interview: Candidates who qualify the written exam are called for a Personal Interaction cum Interview. The appointment is purely contractual and does not entitle any candidate to claim regular/permanent employment in PMBI. Selected candidates are liable to be transferred/posted anywhere in India at PMBI's discretion. The initial contract is for 3 years, extendable based on performance; there is a 6-month observation period during the first year. If an employee resigns or abandons service within the first year (including the observation period) or violates appointment terms, liquidated damages equal to 3 months' consolidated pay are payable. During the 6-month observation period, the contract can be terminated by giving 7 days' notice if performance is unsatisfactory. After the observation period, the contract can be terminated by giving 30 days' notice or 30 days' remuneration in lieu thereof.
