• Selection for engagement of apprentices will be merit-based on HSC/10+2 marks. No written examination is conducted. Final selection is subject to verification of eligibility

• Stage 2 - Document Verification
• Shortlisted candidates will be intimated through email only and must appear for document verification at their own expense. Original documents along with self-attested photocopies must be produced. Candidates failing to produce originals will not be allowed to proceed further.
• Stage 3 - Medical Examination
• Engagement of selected apprentices is subject to being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank.

• Candidates shall apply online through the Bank's website (https://punjabandsind.bank.in/) only. No other mode of application will be accepted. Before applying, candidates must mandatorily complete 100% registration on both the NAPS portal (https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/) and the NATS portal (https://nats.education.gov.in/). Candidates must also note down their Enrollment ID generated on the NATS portal as it is required while applying.
• Documents Required to be Scanned and Uploaded:
• Recent passport-size colour photograph (to be signed across by the candidate on printing)
• Signature with black ink on white paper (Signatures in CAPITAL LETTERS will not be accepted)
• Left Thumb Impression on white paper with black or blue ink
• Handwritten Declaration in English on white paper with black ink - text: "I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required."

• All certificates and mark sheets of educational qualification from Standard Xth, XII, and Graduation onwards
• Caste Certificate in prescribed Government of India format for SC/ST candidates
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate in prescribed format, valid as on date of joining (issued within one year prior to joining); OBC Caste Name must tally with Central Government list
• Income and Asset Certificate in prescribed format issued by competent authority, valid EWS certificate for the financial year, for EWS category candidates
• Disability Certificate in prescribed format issued by District Medical Board for PwBD candidates
• Age relaxation proof with valid documents (e.g., District Magistrate certificate for 1984 riot-affected persons)
• Photo Identity Proof (PAN Card / Passport / Permanent Driving License / Voter’s Card / Bank Passbook with photograph / Aadhaar / E-Aadhaar / Identity Card issued by recognised College/University / Gazetted Officer certificate) - bearing the same name as on the application / call letter. Ration Card and Learner’s Driving License are NOT valid.

• THIS IS NOT AN EMPLOYMENT IN THE BANK. Candidates engaged as Apprentice will NOT be treated as "employees" of the Bank and will not be entitled to receive any benefits available for Bank employees. The Bank shall have no obligation to offer regular employment to any Apprentice who has completed the period of training, nor shall the Apprentice be obligated to accept employment. The Apprentice shall have no right to claim employment in the Bank after completion of training. Candidates can apply for only one State and one District, and not more than one application should be submitted. In case of multiple applications, only the last valid (completed) application will be retained and fees for other registrations will stand forfeited. Mandatory registration with 100% completed profile on both NAPS and NATS portals before applying on the Bank's website is required. Candidates who had training or job experience of one or more years after completion of educational qualifications shall not be eligible for engagement as apprentice. OBC candidates belonging to the "Creamy Layer" are not entitled to reservation/relaxation; they should apply as General/UR. Change of address / email ID / phone number / caste / category will not be entertained after submission of the application. Signatures in CAPITAL LETTERS will not be acceptable. The signature must be consistent across all documents and correspondence. No daily allowance, conveyance allowance or travelling allowance will be paid to Apprentices. No overtime is permitted. Apprentices are entitled to only 1 casual leave per month (maximum 4 at a time). The Contract of Apprenticeship shall terminate automatically on expiry of the 12-month training period. A non-performing apprentice will be given 7 days' notice. An apprentice wishing to terminate early must give 15 days' prior notice to the Bank. Apprentices must devote their entire time exclusively to the Bank and shall not engage in any other commercial business, service, or advisory activity during the engagement period. Apprentices must not disclose any financial information, data, concepts or internal communications relating to the Bank's business to any unauthorized person. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification. Any resultant dispute arising out of this advertisement shall be subject to the sole jurisdiction of the Courts situated at Delhi. Bank reserves the right to change/add/cancel the selection process or cancel the entire process at any stage without notice or refund of application fees.
