NEET MDS Counselling 2026 Round 2: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts NEET MDS counselling for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government dental colleges and 100% seats in deemed/ central universities, while the remaining 50% state quota seats are counselled separately by respective state authorities. After the Round 1 seat allotment and reporting process concluded, MCC has moved ahead with the Round 2 counselling cycle for AIQ seats, and several states have also begun releasing their own Round 2 schedules in parallel. Candidates who did not participate in Round 1, did not get a seat, or wish to upgrade their allotted seat can take part in Round 2.

How to Apply for NEET MDS Counselling 2026 Round 2

Candidates who did not register in Round 1, or who resigned/did not report after Round 1 allotment, need to complete fresh registration for Round 2. Candidates who were allotted a seat and wish to upgrade can log in with their existing credentials and fill fresh choices.

• Visit the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in.
• Click on the "MDS Medical Counselling" link.
• New candidates should click "New Registration"; existing Round 1 candidates should log in with their existing credentials.
• Enter the NEET MDS roll number, application number, date of birth, and other required details.
• Pay the applicable registration fee and security deposit online.
• Fill and lock your choices of colleges/courses in order of preference before the deadline.
• Download and save the registration and choice-locking confirmation for future reference.

Important Instructions for Candidates

• Candidates who selected "Freeze" in an earlier round are generally not permitted to participate again and must join their allotted college.
• Candidates on a "Float" option can try for an upgrade in Round 2, but their earlier allotted seat is retained only as a backup as per MCC's stated rules - check the current bulletin for the exact upgrade/resignation policy.
• Choices, once locked, generally cannot be edited before the deadline, so candidates should review preferences carefully.
• Keep original documents ready well in advance, since reporting deadlines are strict and missing them can mean forfeiting the allotted seat.
• State quota and AIQ counselling run on separate schedules - candidates eligible for both should track both portals independently.
