Rajasthan Anganwadi Recruitment 2026 - Apply Offline for 61 for Anganwadi Worker and Helper Posts

Notification / Publication Date: 08 July 2026 Last Date to Submit Application: The notification states applications must be submitted within 30 days from the date of publication of the notification, by 5:00 PM, at the concerned CDPO office. Based on this, the last date works out to approximately 07 August 2026; however, applicants should confirm the exact closing date with the respective CDPO office, as an explicit calendar date is not separately printed in the notification. Mode of Submission: In person only. Applications sent by post will not be accepted, as per the notification.

By post type: approximately 9 posts are for Anganwadi Worker and 52 posts are for Anganwadi Helper. Applicants should verify the exact category and post against their specific Gram Panchayat/ward in the official notification, as category reservation applies centre-wise, not district-wise.

In rural areas, the woman must be a resident of the same Gram Panchayat where the Anganwadi centre is located. In urban areas, the woman must be a resident of the same ward. A widow or divorced woman may be considered a local resident of either her in-laws' home or her maternal home, as applicable. As per court orders, both married and unmarried women are eligible to apply for the Anganwadi Worker/Helper post. If a selected woman ceases to be a local resident due to marriage or any other reason, her honorarium service will be automatically terminated. An undertaking (affidavit) on this condition must be given at the time of selection. If found ineligible for local residency at any point in future, the department may remove her from honorarium service even after selection. The minimum educational qualification for the post of Anganwadi Worker/Helper is Class 12th (Senior Secondary) pass .

If a woman already engaged on honorarium service is selected again for any post, the age limit will not apply to her, as per the notification.

Selection is done through a merit list prepared as per the evaluation criteria fixed under Departmental Circular No. 4244 dated 12.01.2023 and Circular No. 57871-58286 dated 01.03.2024. Marks are determined based on the documents submitted by the applicant, as per the departmental circular, and the merit/seniority list is prepared accordingly by the concerned project office. Tie-breaking rules (when two or more candidates have equal marks), in order of preference: Preference to widow/divorced candidates; among widows/divorced candidates with equal marks, the one with the youngest date of birth is preferred. This recruitment is for voluntary honorarium-based Anganwadi Worker/Helper posts, not a salaried government job in the conventional sense.
