Reservation Rules for Scheduled Tribe Sub-Plan (TSP) Areas

Reservation of vacancies for Scheduled Tribes in notified TSP areas follows the Scheduled Tribe Sub-Plan programme adopted by the State Government. For the TSP areas of Banswara, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, and Salumber districts, candidates are selected treating each district as a separate/independent unit. In these TSP areas, 5% posts are filled by eligible Scheduled Caste candidates and 45% posts by eligible Scheduled Tribe candidates. The remaining 50% posts in the TSP area may be filled by eligible candidates of any caste or category of that TSP area, based on merit. If sufficient local Scheduled Tribe candidates are not available in a district to fill the 45% quota, such vacancies may be filled by treating the entire TSP area (across districts) as one unit, using eligible Scheduled Tribe candidates from other districts within the TSP area.
