A total of 18 vacancies are available - 18 for Stenographer Grade III (Ad-hoc). Note: In case suitable candidates from reserved categories are not available, the posts shall be filled from amongst eligible candidates of the General Category, strictly on an ad-hoc basis. The notice also states that the number of posts is subject to change depending on administrative requirements at the time of selection.

A Bachelor's degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university. Proficiency in computers, specifically Word Processing and Spreadsheets. Must qualify an English Shorthand Test at 80 W.P.M. and Transcription at 20 W.P.M. on computer.

Minimum age: 18 years Maximum age: 42 years, as on 01.07.2025 Age relaxation is applicable to candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Backward Class-A and B of Haryana, and to those already in Government service, as per applicable Haryana Government norms. Candidates will be required to qualify the following stages: English Shorthand Test at 80 W.P.M. and Transcription at 20 W.P.M. on computer. A Computer Proficiency Test (CPT), which is qualifying in nature. The Stenography/Shorthand test is scheduled to be held on 28.09.2026 , and the Computer Proficiency Test on 05.10.2026 . Candidates must bring their original documents and valid ID proof at the time of the test. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the test.

Selected candidates will receive a consolidated remuneration of ₹25,500/- per month for the ad-hoc period, which lasts for six months or until regular appointments are made by the Hon'ble Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh, or until the ad-hoc Stenographer Grade III staff become eligible for promotion to Stenographer Grade-II, whichever is earlier.
