RRB Section Controller Recruitment 2026 (CEN 03/2026): 119 Vacancies, Apply Online from 15 July

A total of 119 vacancies have been notified for the post of Section Controller (Level 6, 7th CPC) across 27 RRB-Zone combinations. The category-wise breakup is as follows: Vacancies are provisional and may increase, decrease, or become nil in specific Railways/Units/Communities as per Railway Administration requirements.

A citizen of India, or A subject of Nepal, or A subject of Bhutan, or A person of Indian origin who has migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanently settling in India (certificate of eligibility required) Candidates must hold a Graduate Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent . Candidates awaiting final results of the prescribed qualification are NOT eligible to apply. The general age band is 20 to 33 years. The date of birth limits above already include community age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL. No age relaxation is allowed to SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates applying against unreserved vacancies. Age Relaxation

The post of Section Controller carries Level 6 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (7th CPC) with an initial basic pay of Rs. 35,400 per month. Detailed break-up of allowances (DA, HRA, TA etc.) is not specified in the notification.

Fee payment must be made online only (net banking, debit/credit card, or UPI) by 16.08.2026 .

Selection for the post of Section Controller involves the following stages: Computer Based Test (CBT): Single stage, 120 minutes, 100 questions, with negative marking of 1/3 mark per wrong answer Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): Shortlisting to the extent of 8 times the vacancies; candidates must secure a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each test battery to qualify; no negative marking Document Verification (DV): Shortlisting at 1:1 ratio of vacancies, based on 70% weightage to CBT and 30% weightage to CBAT Medical Examination: As per Medical Standard A-2 UR: 40% EWS: 40% OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 30% SC: 30% ST: 25% These percentages also apply to Ex-Servicemen candidates as per their community. Qualifying marks may be relaxed by 2 marks for PwBD candidates in case of shortage of PwBD candidates against reserved vacancies.
