RRC NR Scouts and Guides Quota Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 27 Group C and Group D Posts

The Railway Recruitment Cell, Northern Railway conducts this recruitment for posts in Northern Railway against the Scouts & Guides quota for the year 2026-27. The notice is signed by the Chairman, Railway Recruitment Cell, Northern Railway, and the recruitment follows the Railway Board's policy in Master Circular No. 07 dated 13/12/2019, read with later amendments. The RRC website www.rrcnr.org is named as the main source of information for candidates during the selection.

The notice gives 27 posts in total. No post is reserved for SC, ST or OBC; candidates of these categories get only the age relaxation admissible in open market recruitment. A candidate may apply for both Level 1 and Level 2 if eligible, but must submit a separate application form with a separate examination fee for each. Separate examinations will be held for the two levels, tentatively on the same day in two shifts.

Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens. Each post needs an educational qualification and the same scouting qualification. No relaxation in the educational or Scouts & Guides qualification is permitted, and both must be held at the time of applying. Passed 12th (+2 stage) from a recognized board or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. The 50% marks are not insisted upon for SC / ST / Ex-servicemen for NTPC categories and for candidates with higher qualification such as graduation/post graduation. OR Passed Matriculation from a recognized board plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship for Technician categories. OR Passed Matriculation from a recognized board plus ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT for technician categories. 10th passed + National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT OR 10th pass + ITI OR 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent

Age Relaxation

Eligible candidates will be called for a written examination (Computer Based Test/Tablet Based Test); those who qualify undergo Document Verification, and the panel is formed on merit of the written examination and the marks on certificates. Candidates recommended for appointment must pass the prescribed medical fitness standards. The examination is in Hindi or English. Negative marking: 1/3rd of the marks for the question deducted for every wrong objective answer. Minimum 40% marks in the written examination are needed for the next stage; relaxation for reserved categories as per Railway Board's rules. Bring all uploaded documents in original with one set of self-attested photocopies on the day of Document Verification; certificates not in English or Hindi need a self-attested translation. Serving employees of Central/State Government, Railways or PSUs may apply directly after informing their employer, and must produce a No Objection Certificate on the date of Document Verification. No TA/DA or accommodation is given; candidates bring their own Scout & Guide uniform/kit.
