RSSB JE Recruitment 2026 Notification Out - Apply Online for 874 Junior Engineer Posts

A total of 874 Junior Engineer vacancies have been notified, of which 793 posts are for the non-scheduled area and 81 posts are for the scheduled area of Rajasthan. The department- and post-wise vacancy break-up is given below. Note: If a candidate wants to apply for Junior Engineer posts in more than one department (PWD, Water Resources, PHED) or more than one cadre, a separate online application is required for each post/cadre. Educational qualification requirements differ by post. Candidates must also have working knowledge of Hindi written in the Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture for all three JE posts. Candidates in the final year of the relevant course may also apply, but they must acquire the prescribed qualification by the date of the examination; otherwise they will not be considered eligible for this recruitment. An applicant must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or a person of Indian origin who migrated to India from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, or specified East African countries with the intention of permanently settling in India. As per the notification, age is calculated with reference to 1 January 2027 . A candidate must have attained 18 years of age and must not have crossed 40 years of age as on that date. The relaxation provisions listed above are "non-cumulative," meaning a candidate can avail the benefit of only one applicable provision, not a combination of multiple provisions. The application fee is a One Time Registration (OTR) fee paid via SSO ID and is payable through e-Mitra kiosk, Citizen Service Centre (CSC), net banking, ATM-cum-debit card, or credit card. Candidates who have already deposited the OTR fee earlier are not required to pay it again. Candidates from other states who fall under SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS categories are treated as General category candidates for this recruitment and must pay the General category fee.

The Junior Engineer post carries a pay scale of Pay Matrix Level-10 as per the 7th Pay Commission adopted by the Rajasthan Government. Selected candidates will be appointed as probationary trainees for a 2-year probation period . During probation, a fixed monthly remuneration (as prescribed by the state government from time to time) will be paid, instead of the regular pay scale. No additional allowances such as House Rent Allowance, Dearness Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, or Special Pay are payable during the probation period. On successful completion of probation (training, passing the required examination, and satisfactory conduct), the candidate becomes eligible for the regular pay scale and confirmation/permanency.
