Rail Wheel Factory is a production unit under the Ministry of Railways, located in Yelahanka, Bengaluru. This recruitment is specifically for the re-engagement of retired non-gazetted staff to fill 11 posts of Supervisors (JE/SSE) in Level-6 & Level-7 Maintenance unit in the Mechanical department, as per the guidelines issued by the Railway Board.

Age Limit: Applicants must be up to 65 years of age. Experience: Retired Non-gazetted staff, who are proposed to be re-engaged against this Notification, should have held the same cadre/category upto three levels higher than the post against which re-engagement is being considered subject to the condition that the volunteers retired from the same Pay and Level and found suitable will be given preference over those retired from higher level. However, such retired non-gazetted staff who were granted Financial Upgradation in Level-8/Level-9 under the Modified Assured Career Progression Scheme (MACPS)/who were granted Financial Upgradation to Level-8 (Non-gazetted) due to upgradation of certain Group 'C' cadres as per Railway Board's letter No. PC-VII/2019/RSRP/3(Pt.1) (RBE No. 155/2022), are also eligible to volunteer. Candidates must attach self-attested photocopies of the following documents: Service Certificate Pensioner Identity Card Pension Payment Order (PPO)

Suitability/Competency of the applicant will be adjudged by a committee of officers before their re-engagement duly taking into account safety and other operational requirement. Work experience of the retired staff in the relevant field will also be considered, at the time of their re-engagement, to ensure that they are useful for which they are being selected.

The validity of the scheme is as per Railway Board's Letter No.E(NG)II/2024/RC-4/9 dated 22.09.2026 (RBE 73/2026) for a period upto 15.10.2028 or till further orders, which is earlier. Retired Non-gazetted staff, cannot exercise the financial and D&AR powers and they shall not be authorized to issue any safety certificate. However, they may recommend their suggestions on financial and other matters to regular or in-service staff/Officer. Retired Non-gazetted staff shall execute an agreement to abide all the terms and conditions of re-engagement. The administration reserves the right to terminate the services of the retired re-engaged Railway Employees for the above post of Supervisors (JE/SSE) in level-6 & Level-07, at any time, in case their work or conduct is found to be un-satisfactory or even in administrative exigencies.
