SAIL BSL GDMO Consultant Recruitment 2026 - Walk in

SAIL Bokaro Steel Plant has announced a total of 3 vacancies for the post of Consultant GDMO under the Jharkhand Group of Mines. The category-wise break-up is as follows:

Interested and eligible candidates with the requisite qualifications can walk in for the interview at the scheduled date, time, and venue. Ex-employees of SAIL Plants/Units and other PSUs/Government organizations can also apply, provided they have not separated from service by opting for voluntary retirement. Such ex-employee doctors must submit a self-certificate confirming this. Candidates must be Indian nationals possessing the requisite qualification from an institute recognized by MCI/NMC/SMC (as applicable), along with a valid practitioner licence.

Company accommodation may be provided on payment/availability basis to ex-SAIL employees (subject to entitlement) and to non-SAIL employees (2 BHK or equivalent category), as per applicable rent and utility charges. No House Rent Allowance (HRA) is admissible. Post-paid SIM under CUG, including monthly call charges and rental, is provided with a monthly ceiling of ₹350/- for MBBS-qualified consultants. Medical benefits for self and spouse are available at the unit hospital, subject to conditions; ex-SAIL employees continue to receive benefits as applicable to them. 10 days of leave per year is admissible, subject to prior approval. Selection will be through a Walk-in Interview followed by a medical screening. Engagement will begin immediately after the selection process is completed and orders for engagement are issued. Candidates must download and submit the Application Form (Annexure-I) along with all supporting documents at the time of the Walk-in Interview. No other mode of application will be accepted.

Candidates must carry the original documents along with one set of self-attested photocopies: Duly filled Application Form (Annexure-I) with one additional passport-size recent colour photograph. Pass certificate and mark sheets for educational qualification. Experience Certificate (if applicable) from the employer, showing relevant post-qualification experience. Retired employees must submit a service certificate from the parent organization. Proof of date of birth (Matriculation certificate from a recognized Board). Valid Registration Certificate issued by SMC/MCI/NMC, as applicable. Photo Identity Proof (Voter ID/PAN/Aadhaar Card/Driving License/Passport). OBC (non-creamy layer) or EWS candidates must submit the requisite certificate in the prescribed format, issued on or after 01.04.2026 and valid at the time of the interview.

All certificates and documents in support of eligibility will be verified only at the time of the Walk-in Interview. Candidates who fail to produce the required documents will not be allowed to appear for the interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Walk-in Interview or the selection process. The engagement is purely on a contractual basis and does not confer any right to regular appointment in SAIL, BSL, in any manner. The contractual engagement can be terminated by either party by giving one month's notice. It can also be terminated by the company in cases of poor performance, moral turpitude, conviction by a Court of Law, insolvency, loss of licence to practice, grave misconduct, financial irregularity, or medical unfitness that prevents the consultant from discharging normal duty hours.
