Project Manager and Executive Qualifications

The upper age limit varies by post category from 25 to 40 years . Age is calculated with reference to the application closing date, 15 November 2026, unless SAMEER changes that date. PwBD age relaxation applies to eligible candidates with at least 40% benchmark disability in the notified Orthopaedic/Locomotor or Hearing Impairment categories, subject to the functional requirements of the position. Applicants claiming relaxation must upload the required certificate and produce the original during verification.

SAMEER Recruitment 2026 Age Relaxation

Selected candidates will receive consolidated monthly remuneration ranging from Rs. 21,000 to Rs. 55,000 , depending on their project category and grade. Salary Clarification: These figures represent consolidated contractual remuneration, not regular Government pay scales. SAMEER states that experience beyond the prescribed minimum does not automatically entitle a candidate to an additional increment.

The posts are temporary and project-specific. The notification expressly excludes any right to regularisation, permanent absorption, continued service or automatic contract extension. Selected candidates will normally work at Mumbai/Navi Mumbai but may be required to serve at another SAMEER centre or location in India, depending on project needs. Candidates previously engaged at any SAMEER centre as Research Scientist, Project Engineer or Project Associate for an aggregate period of five years or more are not eligible for appointment as Project Engineer or Project Associate under the notified restriction.

The selection stages depend on the category of post. SAMEER may use academic screening, written examination, online interview, in-person interview or skill test as specified below. Where a written examination is prescribed, it may be conducted online as a computer-based test or in person. Candidates generally need at least 50% marks to qualify for the subsequent stage, subject to the prescribed shortlisting requirements. The written examination syllabus follows the general curriculum of Government-run universities and colleges for the relevant engineering, science, diploma, ITI or graduate qualification. The notification does not provide a common fixed question count, examination duration or negative-marking scheme for all posts.
