SFIO Recruitment 2026 - 38 Vacancies for Joint Director, Deputy Director & Other Posts | Apply by 29 July 2026

Note: Candidates who had already applied against the earlier vacancy circular published in Employment News dated 28 February - 06 March 2026 need not apply again for the same post. Those applications will be considered against this current circular.

SFIO has announced a total of 38 vacancies across 14 different post designations. The highest number of vacancies is for Assistant Director (Investigation) with 12 posts, followed by Senior Assistant Director (Banking) with 4 and Senior Assistant Director (Corporate Law) with 4. All vacancies are tentative and may increase or decrease on administrative grounds. The post-wise vacancy breakdown is given in the table below.

Eligibility differs for each post in terms of service grade, years of experience, and educational background. All candidates must be serving officers from Central/State Government, Union Territories, PSUs, or Autonomous/Statutory bodies. The maximum age limit is 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications for all posts. Below is the post-wise eligibility summary. Must hold an analogous post on regular basis, or have 5 years' service in Level-11. Essential qualification: CA / CS / CFA / CMA / MBA (Finance) / PGDM (Finance) from a recognised institution, with 8 years' experience in capital market regulation or merchant banking . Desirable: Law degree; evidence collection skills. Must hold analogous post, or 5 years' service in Level-10. Selection for all posts in SFIO Recruitment 2026 is entirely through the deputation mechanism - there is no written exam or direct interview for external candidates. Applications received through proper channel (via the Cadre Controlling Authority) will be screened, and the selection committee will assess the candidates based on their qualifications, experience, and service record. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for further process. No deputation allowance is admissible along with SSA.
