SMKV Bastar Non-Teaching Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 69 Peon, Assistant and DEO Posts

The university has announced 69 vacancies under three recruitment notices. The largest individual post category is Peon with 23 vacancies, followed by Assistant Grade-3 with 21 posts. The remaining 25 vacancies cover Data Entry Operator, Store Keeper and technical or laboratory-related positions.

Qualification Cut-off: The required educational and other eligibility qualifications must be completed by 4 November 2026. Candidates applying for the 23 Peon vacancies must have passed Class 10 from a recognized board or institution. The notification does not prescribe a computer diploma or typing certificate for Peon. Applicants for Data Entry Operator, Assistant Grade-3 and Store Keeper must possess graduation or the prescribed Class 12 plus Modern Office Management (MOM) Diploma qualification. A one-year computer diploma and the applicable typing certificate are additionally required. Applicants for Technical Assistant and Research Assistant must have at least two years of experience in an equivalent position at a recognized institution, along with the relevant postgraduate qualification. Experience must be supported by the prescribed certificate.

Age Reckoning Date: 01 January 2026. The 45-year ceiling includes the applicable government relaxations. The precise category-specific age concessions are governed by the Chhattisgarh Government orders cited in the respective notifications.

The advertised 69 posts carry different pay matrix levels, from Level 1 for Peon to Level 9 for Technical Assistant. The notifications also provide the corresponding pay band and grade pay under the earlier pay structure.

Selection for the combined SMKV Bastar non-teaching vacancies includes an OMR-based written examination, skill or practical examination and preparation of a final merit list. The number of written examination questions differs for Peon compared with the other posts. Written Examination: Objective-type test of 100 marks for Peon or 120 marks for Group C posts. Skill / Practical Examination: Candidates shortlisted on written-test merit must appear for the relevant practical assessment carrying 30 marks. Experience Evaluation: Eligible SMKV Bastar daily-wage experience may contribute up to 10 marks. Final Merit List: Prepared out of 100 marks after converting the written examination score and adding applicable practical and experience marks. SMKV Bastar Peon Exam Pattern 2026

Candidates must secure at least 30% marks in the written examination. Based on written-test merit, up to 10 candidates per vacancy will be shortlisted for the skill or practical examination. The practical examination carries 30 marks, and candidates must obtain at least 50% of those marks to qualify. For Technical and Clerical Posts: Written merit marks = (Marks obtained out of 120 / 120) × 60. For Peon: Written merit marks = (Marks obtained out of 100 / 100) × 60. The 10 experience marks are specifically for eligible daily-wage work experience at SMKV Bastar under the prescribed recruitment rules. They are not automatically awarded for general experience at other institutions.

Candidates must select two preferred examination districts when completing the online application. The university will allot an examination centre according to its recruitment arrangements. The skill or practical examinations for shortlisted candidates will be conducted at the SMKV Bastar campus. Examination dates and venue details will be published on the university website.

SMKV Bastar will allow corrections to permitted application details from 5 November to 7 November 2026, up to 11:59 PM . Applicants changing their reservation category from a lower-fee reserved category to Unreserved must pay the applicable fee difference. A reverse category change will not result in a refund of the excess amount paid.
