Horizontal reservation posts are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD), Meritorious Sports Persons, Ex-Servicemen and Women, as per G.O.Ms.No.77, dated 02.08.2023, issued by the General Administration (Services-D) Department. Horizontal reservations are adjusted within the respective vertical categories as per applicable rules.

Candidates must satisfy either of the following two routes: Route 1: B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized university, and registration with the Andhra Pradesh Nursing Council. Route 2: Intermediate examination or an equivalent qualification, and a General Nursing Course of three years' duration plus Midwifery training of six months' duration from an institution recognized by the Nursing Council of India, plus three years of experience in a Medical College/tertiary care hospital, and registration with the Andhra Pradesh Nursing Council. Desirable qualifications: BLS & ACLS training certificates, and knowledge of computer applications.

Age relaxation rules: SC, ST, BC and EWS candidates: 5 years' relaxation in the maximum age limit. Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): 10 years' relaxation. Ex-servicemen: 3 years, in addition to the length of service rendered in the armed forces. Persons presently working in SVIMS on Adhoc/Outsourcing/Contract basis: 5 years' relaxation, subject to completion of a minimum of 5 years of service in SVIMS as on the date of the notification. Maximum age limit with all relaxations put together is 52 years .

Fees must be paid online through UPI, credit card, debit card or net banking via the payment gateway provided on the application portal. No other mode (bank draft, cheque, etc.) is accepted. Any transaction/processing fee charged by the bank is payable by the applicant, in addition to the application fee. The application fee, once remitted, is non-refundable under any circumstances - including if the application is rejected or the notification is cancelled. Applications submitted without payment of the prescribed fee will be summarily rejected.

Selection is based on a total of 100 marks , distributed as follows: Additional points on selection: If total applications received for the post are less than 10, selection is based on weightage of marks in the qualifying examination, experience, and interview. If applications exceed 10, a computer-based online test is conducted. Minimum qualifying marks in the CBT: 40% for OC & EWS, 35% for BC, and 30% for SC, ST & PwBD categories. The question paper for the CBT will be in English. Where two or more candidates score equal marks, the elder candidate (by age) is given preference; in case of a further tie, the candidate with more experience is preferred.
