Territorial Army Officer Recruitment 2026 Notification Out - Apply Offline

The Indian Army has released the Territorial Army Officer Recruitment 2026 Notification for Ex-Armed Forces Commissioned Officers through the Army Headquarters Selection Board (ASB) - 2026. A total of 5 vacancies (4 for Male and 1 for Female candidates) have been announced for the Territorial Army Officer (Provincial TA) post. Note: Serving members of the Regular Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, GREF, and para-military forces are not eligible to apply.

Minimum age: 18 years Maximum age: 42 years, as on the date of application The upper age limit may be relaxed at the discretion of the Chief of the Army Staff

Pay and allowances for Territorial Army Officers, when embodied for training or military service, are the same as those admissible to Regular Army Officers of equivalent rank, as per the 7th Central Pay Commission.

Territorial Army is a part-time commitment with mandatory two months of training every year and does not offer a full-time career Service does not guarantee pension; it is subject to embodied service as per organisational requirement Commission is granted in the rank of Lieutenant, subject to fulfilling TA Rule 20A Promotion up to Lieutenant Colonel is by time scale; promotion to Colonel and Brigadier is by selection Candidates undergo Pre-Commission Training and are commissioned only on its successful completion
