The School of Human Ecology at TISS Mumbai is recruiting for two positions under the Postgraduate Diploma in Trauma-Focused Therapy program. *[based on course timings which includes weekday evenings 05:45 - 08:15 pm and weekday afternoons 02:00 – 05:00 pm, 3 days a week]

Candidates must fulfil the essential qualification requirements prescribed by the institute to be eligible for consideration. Essential Qualification: Post Graduate in Clinical/ Counselling Psychology with relevant experience in clinical practice and/or teaching. Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with M.Phil and having completed a foundational training in trauma-informed psychotherapy will be preferred. Conversant with MS PowerPoint and ability to create collaterals like flyers, posters etc using softwares like Canva. Good communication skills in English and Hindi. Ability to work in a team with quick turnaround time.

The positions are offered for a fixed duration of 09 months, starting from 1 November 2026 and concluding on 31 July 2027. The consolidated remuneration is Rs. 60,000/- per month for the Full-Time Teaching Assistant and Rs. 45,000/- per month for the Part-Time Teaching Assistant. The selected candidate would be required to join within 15 days of selection.

The Teaching Assistant will assist the Faculty-in-Charge for the STP with the following responsibilities: Collate and curate teaching materials and learning aids. Assist in evaluation and documentation aspects of the program. Coordinating with students in the courses regarding classes, tasks, and deadlines. Generating creative content regarding the course, such as announcements, events, posters, etc., and circulation on Social Media via TISS’ authorized channels. Liaising with organizations regarding fieldwork. Coordination with staff and faculty in the course. Assist in documentation of ongoing research. Note: The Teaching Assistant will not be required to conduct classes by themselves.

Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email regarding the date, time, and mode (online/offline) of the Personal Interaction to be conducted by TISS, Mumbai. Candidates attending the personal interaction must bring self-attested photocopies of their educational qualification certificates, work experience certificates, and valid ID proof, along with original documents for verification.

The position is unreserved, but candidates belonging to reserved categories can apply. The Institute reserves the right to relax any of the qualification, experience, or age limit in exceptional cases, or for persons holding analogous positions in Government Departments, Research and Academic Institutions, or Industry. Merely possessing the prescribed qualifications and experience does not entitle a candidate to be called for the interview due to potential shortlisting. Candidates under employment must produce a 'No Objection Certificate' from their employer to appear for the interview. No TA/DA is payable for appearing for the interview.
